EBay US lowers listing fees

For those Filipino online sellers utilizing EBay to sell their merchandise worldwide, here's a very good news for you: in an effort to increase its online sales, EBay is now cutting their listing fees to as much as fifty percent. However, there's a catch; the company will be increasing its commissions for items that DO sell.

While some sellers would welcome this since it would reduce their cost for listing an item that may not sell, a higher commission eat away at a seller's profit. Furthermore, there's as much as a 67 percent, to 8.75 percent increase in the final sale price of items selling less than $25.

Furthermore, Yahoo news reports that sellers with higher rate of customer dissatisfaction will get less exposure in customer searches.
