A look at the Sony DSC-W300

Sony is releasing yet again another compact high resolution digital camera, the Sony DSC-W300.


The Sony DSC-W300 features a whopping 13.6 mega pixel Carl Zeiss opticals with 3x optical zoom. This newest digital camera from Sony also features a 2.7 inch LCD screen with an eye-level viewfinder.


The Sony DSC-W300 has a new extra high speed burst feature that can shoot 3 mega pixel photos at five frames per seconds, ideal for shooting sports scenes. The Sony DSC-W300 also features Sony's Super SteadyShot optical image stabilizer and has a high ISO setting of up to 6400.

The Sony DSC-W300 also features a manual noise reduction feature which can be set to high, low and standard settings so users can have a greater control over the final outcome of their images.

Though this digital camera packs some manual features for those already familiar with photography, novice users will also enjoy the range of automatic features that the Sony DSC-W300 gives. This digital camera from Sony features their newest Smile Shutter technology and Face detection technology which can differentiate faces of children and adults.

Other features of the Sony DSC-W300 includes: five color modes, 12 scene selection modes, manual white balance adjustment, Sony's new D-Range Optimizer Plus features, and slideshows that allows longer music to play in the background. The Sony DSC-W300 also has a high definition output for viewing photos in HDTV sets.


The Sony DSC-W300 camera will be available in the United States in May
and has a suggested retail price of $350.
