Nokia N96 makes debut at Mobile World Congress

Nokia fans, hold off upgrading your mobile phones as Nokia has just released another batch of new phones at the Mobile World Congress. One of these new cellphones is the Nokia N96. The Nokia N96 looks like the Nokia N81 married the Nokia N95.

Though retaining most of the Nokia N81's looks, the Nokia N96 has the N95's dual slider mode, the 5 mega pixel Carl Zeiss optics, and A-Gps receiver, WLAN, HSDPA, and the 2.8 inch screen. What is new on the Nokia N96 is that it now has 16 gigabytes of internal memory PLUS (take not of the BIG PLUS), it can now be expanded with a microSD card (something which the Nokia N95 8GB lacks). It also has a DVB-H receiver for viewing TV shows (wanna bet that Smart will take the Nokia N96?)

The Nokia N96 will be available during the third quarter of 2008. Hopefully, sooner for us here in the Philippines.
