The Canon PowerShot SD790 IS is the mid-range digital camera from the three recently released Digital ELPH models. Like the Canon PowerShot SD890 IS, this digital camera also has a10 mega pixel resolution. The only difference is that the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS has a 3x optical zoom and has a focusing range of 35mm wide angle and telephoto equivalent of 105mm.
The design of the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS is more squarish than the SD890. This digital camera has a metallic-chiseled finish and is slighting smaller than a deck of cards. The Canon PowerShot SD790 IS has a larger 3 inch display and also features the mutli-control dial.
The Canon PowerShot SD790 IS also has Optical Image Stabilization and Motion Detection technology to reduce shake and face detection as well. $349.99 is the expected retail price for the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS.
