Why are superhero actors becoming less “super”?

Honestly, what is wrong with Hollywood nowadays? Why are they casting actors that have less than stellar personality as superheroes? First, it was Nicolas Cage. I personally love Nicolas cage but having watched him since I was little, I know that he’s—well, old and that he can’t pass to be a superhero. Ghost Rider is somewhere in the bottom of my favorite superhero movie.

Then there’s Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Robert, again, is too old and his personality doesn’t really fit the superhero type. However, because of the script and all, Robert was able to make me believe that he really is Tony Stark, thus making Iron Man one of my favorite superhero movie.

Now there’s Edward Norton as The Incredible Hulk. I only remember Edward Norton for his role in one of the prequels for Silent of the Lamb, I forgot the title. Honestly, what happened to Eric Bana? Edward Norton doesn’t have the muscles or the personality to pass a superhero (sorry, Norton fans). But then again, Downey’s performance was able to surprise me so maybe the Incredible Hulk would do the same. However, I just hope that the ones making this Incredible Hulk movie are different from the first one because if it’s the same production team, well, I may have to pass.
