Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian

I have loved the first installment of Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe that’s why I was eagerly awaiting the release of the second installment. Four years has passed since the first Narnia movie was shown, the characters have certainly matured, probably more than the supposed one year gap in the story.

As always, I love the cinematography. I can’t wait to have the Blu-ray version and watch it on my LCD TV, I’m sure the scenery would be breathtaking. As for the story itself, I feel like the movie was a bit rushed. If I have read the original story I’m sure there were probably a lot of plots missing. There were also some scenes in the movie that reminded me a little too much of Lord of the Rings. Now I don’t know who came first, Lewis Carroll or Tolkien but if both directors for Lord of the Rings and Prince Caspian are just following the characters on the book, then either one of the author probably copied off the other (then again, the director for Prince Caspian must have been a real big fan of LOTR). There was also one character who looked like a rip-off of Puss in Boots from Shrek.

All in all, the Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian is a fun movie to watch—definitely better than Indiana Jones.
