1 million iPhone 3G sold in first weekend

With all the buzz that the iPhone 3G has been garnering from mobile blogs around the world, it's no wonder that die-hard Apple fanboys in all 22 countries wherein the phone first launched will line-up to get this latest phone from Apple. So it will come as no surprise that the iPhone 3G has already sold 1 million units during the first 3 days alone. Even before its launch, developers, mobile phone accessories manufacturer, and even the guys over at unlimited complimentary Ringtones, are already offering consumers downloads, applications, and accessories for the iPhone 3G. You know a product will be a hit when even before it hits the stalls, it already has accessories.

For those not in the know, the iPhone 3G is the follow up on Apple's phenomenal iPhone which was launched in June last year. Some of the updates on the iPhone 3G includes, 3G network compatibility, third party software compatibility, GPS, video recording, and loads of other goodies. The iPhone 3G will be carried by Globe here in the Philippines though release date has yet to be announced.
