Antique Clocks, are they worth the investment?

I've recently been to Shangri-La Mall in Mandaluyong and I've come by this quaint little store there that sells antique clocks. These clocks were really cute, some of them were made of gold plating and others made of wood. When I checked the price, well, let's just say that the price of their antique clocks will let you buy an iPhone 3G prepaid kit from Globe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure if I were filthy rich I would have bought some of their mantel clocks on display in a heartbeat. An antique clock is a perfect home decor especially if they’re Howard Miller Clocks.

I find that grandfather clocks are specially appealing specially if you’re going for the traditional home design. Though some, specially if you have a small space, would probably have problems deciding where to put the grandfather clock. Grandfather Clocks Blog has a post (see link) that suggests some of the places in your home where you can place your grandfather clock.

Clocks are always good at enhancing a home’s appearance. Though some modern homes will just opt for the standard wall clock, investing in a slightly expensive clock, maybe even a cuckoo clock would certain upgrade any room’s appeal. Plus, I don’t know, but whenever an antique clock is in a room, I always feel that it makes the room a little homier.
