Cigars vs. cigarettes

If you go inside bars or in smoking areas, you’ll notice that no one is smoking cigars, all of them are actually smoking cigarettes. We just came from watching a movie and someone in the movie was smoking cigar so my niece asked me what’s the difference between the two and why she can’t see any person smoking cigars in public.

Well, a quick google search revealed the difference between the two. The main difference between cigars and cigarettes are their size and the kind of tobacco used. Cigarettes contain less than 1 gram of tobacco while cigars usually contain around 5 to 17 grams of tobacco, almost the same amount as an entire pack of cigarettes. Cigars are also more expensive since it usually contains just one type of tobacco and most often cigar makers bank on using the finest type of tobacco which is most usually Cuban or Dominican tobacco. Cigars also take a longer time to smoke so most people who smoke cigars enjoy it in the comfort of their homes rather than in public.

Cigarette smokers curious of trying out cigars should check out Cigars to buy has an extensive collection of Cuban and Dominican Cigars and other high quality brands. The site is a member of IPCPR and unfortunately, Pinoy cigarette smokers won’t be able to purchase directly from their site since they are currently not offering international shipments but you can always ask someone in the States to buy one for you or make use of forwarders.
