Installing PSP Games on your Memory Stick

Disclaimer: This post does not in any way indorses piracy. This is merely for tutorial purpose only.

First of all, if you buy a brand new PSP in your regular retail store (this applies to legitimate retail stores locally and in abroad), you won't be able to play PSP games directly on your PSP. You first need to have some technical knowledge in order to go about upgrading your PSP's firmware. You need a custom firmware for your PSP to be able to play games on the memory stick. To do this, you need to visit forums such as Pinoy PSP and ask around for someone who can help you through the process or for the instructions on how to do this.

Once you have your custom PSP firmware, you can now proceed in installing PSP games on your memory stick. Now let me just remind you that downloading PSP games from other sites is ILLEGAL and constitutes piracy. Now technically, if you have your own PSP games, you can legally copy it and install it in your memory stick so that it can load faster. Doing this is within the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, under "personal use".

You need to copy or burn your PSP game into an image file, usually with the file extension cso or file extension iso in order for it to be readable. Magic ISO or regular NERO can do this for you. After that, you're good to go. Enjoy faster load times of your games on your memory stick.
