Store Selling Unlock iPhone 3G in the Philippines

I've come upon a store in Trinoma, I think the name is InfoTech or something selling an unlocked iPhone 3G. The price? A whopping PHP67,000. I almost laughed in the face of the seller (or maybe I already did) I forgot since I had to ran out of the store and shake my head.

Come on, that's twice the price of a prepaid iPhone from Globe. Would ANYBODY ever pay that amount just to use Smart's sim card? With PHP67,000, I could buy TWO Samsung Omnia's which is unlocked. If you're unfamiliar with the Internet, you could easily get duped by these kind of sellers.

If you want an unlocked iPhone 3G, I suggest you scour the Internet for an unlocking solution, be it a software solution or a simcard rather than spend 67,000 for an unlocked iPhone which they have probably unlocked using the Internet. Also, try to lurk in local forums such as pinoymac.org, I'm sure they already know where to find unlocking sim cards or software solutions.
