What Career would be most beneficial during the financial crisis?

I have previously blogged about what industries I think would be less affected by the financial crisis so now I'm going to talk about what careers I think would be least affected or what careers would still be in demand.

Nurses, nursing aids and doctors. I don't why but I've heard in the news that our expats abroad working as nurses will be affected by the credit crunch. I still believe that they'll be least affected as Hospitals have no chance of closing down. However, if they're working for private nursing homes, then there's a chance that they'll be affected as private nursing homes would likely feel the credit crunch and lay-off some jobs.

Masseuses and those working in the beauty industries. These are personal services which some people may do on their own without being hired by big companies. If you're still studying, you might want to enroll yourself in beauty schools with dorm so you won't have to travel back and forth from your home and you can concentrate on your studies. LA James College is one of those schools which provides such facility.

Writers. Writers can find an abundance of jobs both in their hometowns as well as the Internet. If you have some financial background, it would be a plus as more and more newspapers would cover the financial crisis. Writers also have the luxury of not being tied down to one company.

In sum, you can lessen your chance of being laid off if you have additional credentials as well as experience. If every company starts laying off employees, it would of course look for employees who can contribute more to the business.
