Yahoo Widgets has been around for some time now and its more comprehensive than the Vista sidebar. The file extension WIDGET are files which are associated with Yahoo Widgets and you can load those files on your desktop.
Free document templates - If your job requires you to make a lot of business documents then docstoc is a good website to visit. You can find hundreds of useful document templates to download from resumes, business documents, presentations, etc. These files can be downloaded as DOT files or doc files.
