iPhone apps and games

The iPhone has really come a long way in terms of software development. When the first generation iPhone was released I thought it wouldn't go anywhere considering that Steve Jobs decided not to open it to developers so games and applications on the iPhone were limited to some web-based applications through the Safari browser and considering that before, the Safari was not compatible with flash, it ruled out the development of cool flash games for the iPhone.

Now, thanks to insistent public demand, Apple decided to open up the iPhone and now the iTunes tout some of the best iPhone games compared with other mobile platforms. In fact, I've read somewhere that thanks to the iPhone, mobile games download was at an all time high last 2008 despite the economic recession.

Now if only Macs can be as affordable as iPhones, we can say the same for the development and download popularity of Mac games.
