jv16 PowerTools 2009 Review
After having problems with the Blue Screen of Death and unable to find a problematic driver, I came to the conclusion that I need to registry cleaner in order to find the stubborn driver. There are a lot of registry cleaners over at download.com but I chose jv16 PowerTools 2009 which I came to know from some of my blogger friends.
Anyways, the jv16 PowerTools 2009 is a small file, only around 5MB, it's very easy and quick to install. The interface is pretty user friendly, everything you need (in my case, the registry cleaner function) can be found on the main window. Anyways, I started the registry cleaner to scan my system for errors, hopefully, the software will be able to remove the problematic driver. The speed for scanning your system will depend on how many files you've installed on your system. In my case, my laptop was already a few months old and I've installed and uninstalled a good number of software on it so it took jv16 PowerTools about 3-5 minutes to scan and analyze my system.
You can choose whether you want jv16 PowerTools to manually fix the problems or for those already tech savvy enough, you can customize how you want the registry entry to be fixed. You don't have to worry about deleting anything important since the software will automatically back up the registry entries for you so you can just restore it if you deleted anything important. After scanning, you will get a report for the errors as well as charts and how long the scan took. I really didn't find anything useful on the report except that it told me the health of my registry.
Aside from being a registry cleaner, jv16 PowerTools has also several useful system tools like a system cleaner, system optimizer, software uninstaller (for those stubborn programs that can't be uninstalled), etc. The trial version did me good. I might upgrade to the full version after I've gone over its other tools.
