If you're an avid Hollywood fan and you're always watching E! and reading up on the latest gossip, you'll know that Hollywood stars are always getting caught for DUI (driving under the influence). I think the most frequent violator is Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan. In fact, a few years ago, Paris Hilton created quite a buzz by being the first star (I think), to be imprisoned for DUI driving.
Anyways, if you get caught making a traffic violation, you'll be issued a ticket and then the state will either let you pay the fine or pay the fine and attend traffic school. So I was wondering whether DUI is considered as a minor traffic offense and whether stars who get caught get hauled off to a California Traffic School or whether they just pay the fine. I'm not so familiar with traffic laws in California.
If stars do attend traffic schools, do they really go or could they just send a representative or something? There are a lot of online traffic schools nowadays so I guess anyone can attend traffic school right at their own home.

HTC Mobile Phones in the Philippines waaayyy over priced
So I can understand that HTC phones sold in retail stores in the malls are sold through legitimate channels, meaning they pass through custom and pay the proper taxes but it seems that the local distributor is pricing it waaay too high.
Before the iPhone revolution, I was already an avid HTC fan and I had my 3rd straight PDA made by HTC. The problem was that two of them, I got from retail stores and I paid around 38-42k for both HTC phones. When I bought the Samsung Omnia, I got it for only 31,000. The HTC Diamond on the other hand, was selling for 39-40k. WTF?! In Singapore and Hong Kong, there's a 5-8k difference in the price.
Anyways, I'm waiting for the HTC Touch Diamond2 and the HTC Touch Pro2 but if the Samsung Omnia HD turns out to be cheaper, then there's no contest that I'll be buying the Omnia HD. It's the better phone and a cheaper price just seals the deal.
